About
Pokémon’s first life simulation game, Pokémon Pokopia, will release on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 5, 2026. Playing as a Ditto that has transformed to look like a human, you can collect wood, rocks, and other crafting materials to create a cozy home. Ditto can learn moves from other Pokémon and utilize those moves to help build your very own Pokémon paradise. For example, Ditto can use Bulbasaur’s Leafage to add greenery to the landscape or Squirtle’s Water Gun to hydrate plants. By creating a lush, welcoming environment, more Pokémon will visit.

When I first saw this game get revealed I didn’t think much of it, until I kept seeing more and more from the trailers that I eventually decided I needed to try this out. And I’m so glad I did because this is surprisingly one of the best modern Pokemon games I’ve played. You are tasked with creating a place for many Pokemon to live in giant sandbox worlds. It’s cozy, rewarding, simple, fun, wholesome, and surprisingly dark at times. I have so much motivation to keep making my world the best I can make it, even though I’m no expert at cozy games myself. Looking at what’s I’ve made too fills me with a lot of pride, even though I’m far from done (there is a lot of ground to cover) I just wish there was more customization and features to help (like cut and rock smash for example), but as it is alone, it’s fantastic
