Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

Honestly, what a spectacular game. The visuals, the gameplay and the engagement factor are superb. The visuals were out of this world, and insomniac (game developers) really took advantage of the PS5 hardware. The game looks surreal. I was captivated throughout the entire playthrough and I couldn’t put it down! I really liked how they kept the gameplay refreshing and concise, shifting from melee/shooting combat, to the platforming sequences of kit/clank, the mini-games from glitch, and switching up the character segments between Rivet/Ratchet for the plot. I also adored trudi’s segment too (flying and bombing down ships! Take my money!). I am equally impressed by the different types of weapons offered in the game and the absurdity of them all. The cutscenes were also delightful and did not make the gameplay disjointed. They complimented one another seamlessly. My favourite weapons are definitely topiary sprinkler, warmonger, ricochet, and gloves of doom. I legitimately don’t have any cons to this game except the games difficulty, but this definitely was because i opted for the easy mode. Probably the lack of depth from the characters, but I assume casual gamers don’t really choose R&C for the storytelling and character development. Definitely worth trying though and I highly recommend!! (Time for my second play-through on challenge mode and getting that platinum trophy).
