(8)I dont know why everyone is hating on this game. Im actually really enjoying the SLIGHTLY repetitive Combat. The mechanics and graphics are good. The customizable suits and claws.. character models.. except the green 1. Its kind of how i expected a wolverine insomniac game to be 🤷🏼♂️ 9.5 because the story is alittle bit to sci fi for me but still enjoyable.

insomniac needs to start hiring comic book writers again for these characters. The gameplay is fun. I feel like wolverine but the stories are declining for insomniac, unfortunately.

With some of the best combat I’ve experienced in a video game and a story that’s so multilayered, intricate & emotional, Wolverine defies all expectations I had for it & soars into being an incredibly special experience I won’t soon forget. Wolverine was a good next step for Insomniac with his naturally darker and much more serious themes compared to the friendly neighbourhood web slinger, allowed them to step outside their comfort zone & show the world what they’re really capable of. The only downside that stops Wolverine from being a perfect experience is it’s first party and yellow paint based sonyisms that can make the game feel a tad too conservative at times.

There is a lot of reasons why this game is hated but first let me tell my own point of view and opinion about this game since I just got the platinum trophy. There is no doubt the game looks great and performed well on a base PS5 or PS5 pro despite having a lot of glitches which I experienced while playing it. Insomniac did a great job with the graphical fidelity of the game. The missions however are repetitive even the Nightmare doors are boring at times. My concern with the game is the story because If this was an anime show it's like I am watching a lot of filler in a single episode directed by sinister/essex and I get they are trying to hold back with Logan, Jean and the others but the way their story builds up in this game is a bit frustrating especially I grew up watching xmen cartoons and reading a few comics. And I just want to include this because for some reason a lot of people's complains are the character models. I get their opinion about making characters looking bad or "ugly" and blaming the designers who are "woke" but I don't seem to mind it I see it as a the mature version of the characters considering they did design it to be in par with the comics design I also want give credit to the voice actors which they really did give their best with their characters and I really appreciate it. I would still highly recommend this game if you are in it for the action but I really did not enjoy the story well and I really was looking forward to it ever since this game was revealed.
